The Challenge
Our relationship with a local high-end builder led us to this property. Customers often place their trust in us based on recommendations by others. This coastal home is a little over 4000 square feet and it utilizes a geothermal system for heat and air-conditioning. The goal of this project was to power the critical systems and to provide a reasonable level of comfort during future outages.
The Solution
The backup power solution was designed around a 40 kW generator that will run the geothermal pumps and all the comforts needed during a power outage. The generator will be fueled by an existing propane tank. We also utilized two automatic transfer switches in this design. Future storms will be a whole lot easier to live through now that this family has a reliable backup power system.
